Welcome to Hackel Haus Bakery!

A small cottage business providing Hastings with flavorful and nutritious traditional breads and buttery Danish and Croissant based pastry options that are built with local stone-milled grains, nearby orchard fruits, free-range farm fresh eggs, and honey from Cannon Falls.

Previously I owned and baked for North Shore Coffee Company, est. 1992 in Hudson Wisconsin. We were the first espresso bar in town.

The entrepreneurial spirit continues as I decided to return as Hackel Haus Bakery in honor of my German baker relatives: Uncle John’s Roseville MN bakery and Mrs. Hackel’s Bakery in SE Chicago.
